What is Shutter Speed? Shutter Speed is the speed a camera takes a picture at and how much light is let in during this process The outcome of the picture will be really bright, really dark, or just what your looking for. Why does it cause this? The speed will determine the brightness depending on how long the hole is open. |

So to sum it up a sensor for a camera The outcome of a picture will have more or less noise, and may look brighter or darker. Why does it cause this? It's a shortcut to adding light. The lower the light the more noise (grain) there is. More light more detail. |

This controls light as well The outcome of a picture would be an image with a blurry background, or all clear. Why does it cause this?
